Lucky Friday 13th!
Marwell hosted Dreamnight on Friday 13th; a special event run every year to enable children with disabilities and their families to enjoy free entry to the Park.
The evening was a huge success, and 2,300 people enjoyed special attractions such as jugglers, bouncy castles, a marching band and close encounters with stick insects – all in addition to the star attraction – our animals! The fire brigade and local police also put in an appearance, and everyone had a great time.
We run this special event every year, and work closely with local hospices and hospitals to invite children to visit, who otherwise might not be able to enjoy the Park.
Keepers and staff stay late to keep the Park open, and to ensure that as many children as possible can get close to their favourite animals. So Friday 13th was certainly not an unlucky day for Dreamnight visitors! A big thank you also goes to all Marwell volunteers who helped make the evening so successful.
