Research is integral to our mission helping us to gain and share knowledge to support biological conservation, sustainability and education.

Projects are usually determined by our research interests and priorities, and led by our team of scientists. However, we also invite proposals from other researchers who might benefit from access to our study sites, information or samples. To help us to assess proposals, track the progress of research projects and evaluate our overall contributions to science we ask all researchers (internal or external) to begin by reading our Research Policy and completing an online proposal.

We advise researchers to submit proposals as early as possible prior to the anticipated start date, allowing for up to two months for a response. We try to support all proposals, but regret that occasionally we have to decline for logistical, health and safety or other reasons. At our discretion, we may ask researchers to abide by specific terms and conditions related to the study site or the nature of the study being carried out.
