NEW GIRAFFE CALF IS STANDING TALL
We are celebrating the birth of a new baby giraffe. Born on the morning of Wednesday 14th May, the giraffe calf is already 6ft tall and has been named Christa after her dad,
Christopher.
Christa’s arrival has taken a long time as giraffes are pregnant for around 15 months. The keepers kept a close eye on mum, Matilda during her pregnancy and were delighted to be able to watch the new baby being born without any problems.
