An animal adoption makes a unique and alternative gift for every special occasion. Whether it’s for a christening, birthday or anniversary, adopting an animal at Marwell is sure to make loved ones happy – especially when they know what your gift means to us and our conservation work.
- You can adopt any animal listed for £50 or £100 within the general adoption scheme.
- We have also created a special adoption package especially for our junior supporters (0-16 years) for just £25.
- To adopt now call the Animal Adoption office on 01962 777988

Our animals need you!
- Marwell is a registered charity dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and natural habitats both locally and internationally.
- As charity we rely heavily on our visitors and supporters to help fund our work.
- The money raised through an animal adoption makes a valuable contribution to the care of our animals – from food and veterinary care to general maintenance of enclosures and animal living quarters.
Points to note
- It takes approximately four weeks (from when we receive your adoption application ) for the plaque to be made and put up on display.
- Adoptions within the general scheme apply to species rather than individual animals.
- Credit card payments - We accept all cards except Electron or American Express payments on-line.
- Animals are sometimes moved, both within Marwell and to other zoos as part of zoological collections.
- We reserve the right to make changes to adoptions where necessary. In the event that the adopted animal is no longer at Marwell, we will notify the adopter and they will be able to transfer their adoption to another animal.
