Marwell Wildlife is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and other natural resources. We constantly undertake specific campaigns.
Grevy’s Zebra Conservation
The Grevy’s zebra population saw a catastrophic decline in the 1980’s and 1990’s and the species is now only found in northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia.
As part of the Grevy’s Zebra Working Group, Marwell has played a key role in successfully reversing the decline of the population in Kenya for the first time in over a decade.

FLIGHT
The aim of the Flight appeal is to raise much needed funds for a number of conservation projects, including;
- development of vital woodland areas here at Marwell, to create a nature reserve on Marwell Wildlife land to provide improved access to nature for local communities and to enhance biodiversity which will provide essential habitats for our native birds
- ostrich reintroduction programmes in Niger in partnership with the Sahara Conservation Fund
