Investors in People recognition

We are celebrating after receiving the prestigious Investors in People standard. We were awarded the high profile status for our commitment to best practice for our staff recruitment, training and development programmes. tiger

Investors in People is the UK’s leading people management business improvement standard, which helps organisations deliver improved performance through its staff. During our evaluation, the assessor commented that Marwell: “is one of the most inspiring examples of systematic business improvement I have come across in over 15 years as an Investors In People assessor.”

On receiving the award, James Cretney, Marwell’s Chief Executive said: “The standard recognises all our hard work in recent years in developing our management approach. Now our business plan, and communication and performance management strategies are all linked into our training and development programmes. Training is also clearly linked to our charitable aims and objectives, whilst at the same time addressing the personal objectives and needs of our staff.”

We were also congratulated on the outstanding progress made in recent years in transforming the organisation. We will now use the standard as a tool to further help raise the level of support and development, and further invest and empower staff in pursuit of our charitable work.

Formed in 1993, Investors in People is a non-departmental public body, which receives funding from the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills. It is the UK’s leading people management standard and provides a simple and flexible framework helping organisations to improve business performance.
