Adopt our beautiful Red Panda couple with our special Valentines adoption package.

Valentines Day is fast approaching and we have the perfect gift for your loved one this Valentines: a beautiful Red Panda. For just £50 you and your valentine can adopt Saffron and Chilli, Marwell’s adorable Red Panda couple.

It is believed that Red Pandas are related to the larger Giant Panda. Red Pandas have a lot in common with the larger Giant Panda. Both are endangered, both eat bamboo, both have an extra ‘thumb’ that they use for gripping food and both come from similar regions. Red Pandas are found in the mountainous forest regions of western China, northern Burma and Nepal.

At Marwell, Saffron and Chilli like nothing better than to curl up like a cat, often with their long bushy tails wrapped over their gorgeous white and red faces. They are both excellent climbers and can usually be found high up in the trees, looking down on visitors.

Marwell’s special Valentine adoption package includes a year’s adoption of Saffron and Chiili. You will also receive a welcome letter, a certificate with a picture of Saffron and Chilli and a fact sheet containing everything you need to know about the Pandas. Your names (as a couple) will also be displayed on a plaque outside the enclosure for everyone to see. The adoption also includes two free admission tickets to Marwell – to use at any time during 2007.

The Valentine adoption package costs £50. Money raised will help contribute to the feed and care of the Red Pandas. Adopting saffron and Chilli couldn’t be easier – simply follow the links to animal adoptions. We have plenty of other animals available for adoption here at Marwell. Our Animal Adoption Scheme can provide you with a suitable animal adoption whether it is for yourself, as a gift, anniversary or memorial. It’s ideal for individuals or groups and fits in well with company sponsorship.

Prices range from £20 (The Children’s Adoption Scheme) to £1,000 and all are for one year’s adoption. Each price band has a name and adopters receive a package according to the price. Money raised by the scheme contributes to our feeding and husbandry costs which are in the region of £8,000 every day.
