We are running animal activity sessions for all the family to enjoy during the Hampshire Easter school holiday period – starting Tuesday 8th April for two weeks. Sessions are £5 each and need to be pre booked.

There are three different themed sessions to choose from: Amphibian Action, Animal Superheroes and Save YOUR Planet.

Up to half of the world’s amphibian species, including frogs and toads, are in danger of being wiped out. Children can learn all about these amazing animals in the Amphibian Action session and also find out how to help us stop this crisis through LEAP 4 LIFE – our own amphibian campaign. When visiting the Park children can also search out Marwell’s various amphibian species by following a specially created FREE amphibian trail around the Park.

Animals have some amazing special features. Children and adults alike can come along and learn all about some of these adaptations including super defences, special weapons and interesting diets, in the Park’s Animal Superheroes session.

The third session that we are offering is Save YOUR Planet. There are millions of different types of animals and plants living on Earth. Sadly, many of these are threatened with extinction. Take part and find out how everyone can do their bit to help wildlife in back gardens and local neighbourhoods.

All family sessions will include the opportunity to make a craft item as well as a ‘take-home’ activity, to carry the animal adventure back at home. Activities are most suitable for children aged between 5 and 9 years old. Prices also include refreshments during the sessions.

Two activity sessions will run on each of the following days:

Tuesday 8th and 15th April – Amphibian Action

Wednesday 9th and 16th April – Animal Superheroes

Thursday 10th and 17th April – Save YOUR Planet

• Preferred day and time - the morning activity session starts at10.30 am till 12.30 pm and the afternoon activity session starts at 2.30 pm till 4.30 pm.
• Number of children attending (including those under 3 years)
• Ages of the children attending
• Number of adults attending
• Full names of all of those attending the session

PLEASE NOTE:

• All adults and children (3 years and over) attending will be charged £5 for the activity session (under 3s are free). This is in addition to normal zoo entrance costs.

• Each child attending must be accompanied by an adult.
• One adult may look after up to three children at the most.
• Maximum of two adults will be allowed, per child.

We cannot guarantee you a place at your preferred session time. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. If sessions become booked up we will do our best to offer you a different time or day.

We may be running sessions simultaneously in a number of our classrooms. If you know that your friends or other family members have already booked in, please let us know if you would like to be in the same room and we will do our best to put you together as a group
