Wildlife Worldwide sponsor Marwell Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2013We're delighted to announce that Winchester based wildlife travel specialists, Wildlife Worldwide are again sponsoring our Photographer of the Year competition 2014!

As well as providing some fantastic prizes, Wildlife Worldwide have collaborated with Beyond Carbon to sponsor this year’s competition to the tune of £1,000 to help Marwell’s conservation work with Grevy’s Zebra in Africa. Beyond Carbon helps protect the world’s threatened environments, its wildlife and indigenous people by connecting businesses with outstanding projects in the UK and overseas.

Wildlife Worldwide are delighted to channel much of their charitable funding through Beyond Carbon and thereby ensure that the projects they help to fund are well researched and fully sustainable.

These vital funds will contribute towards Marwell’s field work in Kenya's arid northern rangelands to promote conservation awareness, as well as training workshops for newly recruited community scouts in data-collection methods. This work is ultimately aimed at providing an overarching framework for community-based conservation of Grevy's zebra as a flag ship species, and wildlife conservation in general, in areas which have not previously been assessed or included in Kenya's national conservation and management strategies.
