Marwell wildlife photographer of the year competition 2012
Celebrating the variety of wildlife, our Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2012 competition is open to professional, amateur and young photographers alike.
We are looking for striking images exhibiting photographic excellence with high quality and good composition that capture the essence of nature in four categories:
- Native Wildlife – flora and fauna native or resident in the British Isles
- Cute and Funny – mother nature at her cutest or most amusing
- Marwell Wildlife residents
- Marwell Wildlife endangered – species at Marwell specifically classified by IUCN as endangered or critically endangered (see list)
All categories will have prizes awarded for one adult and one junior winner (children aged 15 and under). Once entered, all images will be uploaded in web resolution to our dedicated Marwell Wildlife Flickr Group for a “people’s choice winner” – members of the public can vote for their favourite online by “Favourite-ing” their preferred image from all entrants.
An overall adult and junior winner will be decided from the winners of the above categories - see below for the prizes!
