Enjoy a safe visit
Welcome to Marwell Zoo!
We want you to enjoy a great day at the zoo and we will need your help to keep everyone safe.
We’ve put together this guest guidance and FAQs detailing everything you need to know ahead of your visit.
Special summer offer for day guests
With family budgets tightening and the school holidays fast approaching we are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic incentive to help your pennies go a little bit further.
From July 20 to August 31 every day ticket purchased for Marwell Zoo, will come with a free return ticket valid for seven days. You’ll be given a voucher for your return visit when you come through admissions* This offer does not apply to gift tickets, special tickets or advanced bookings of more than 50 people.
So, if it’s too hot, too wet, or you have little legs and can’t make it around the whole 140 acre site in one day, you can take your time and come back another day and do all of the bits you missed the first time.
Whether you’re planning a week of fab days out from your home or ‘staycationing’ in the area, there’s now twice as many reasons to visit our beautiful animals and stunning surroundings.
The free return visit will double the chances of guests seeing some of our more elusive animals, visiting all five adventure playgrounds and, of course making the most of our stunning picnic spots and food outlets.
When using your return visit voucher, you will not need to prebook.
* Full terms and conditions here.

Please make sure you book the correct time, date, number of guests before you book as tickets are strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable to another date. We are unable to admit guests who do not have a ticket prior to arrival. Guests with pre-paid tickets (such as adoptions, agent, or complementary) do not need to book in advance. Each ticket must also be valid for the correct time slot and date of visit.

Sorry no cash
All payments are by card only and we’d really appreciate you using contactless (£100 limit) wherever you can.
We encourage guests to imagine Marwell as a walking safari. With 140 acres of beautiful parkland to explore, take your time to stroll around with a patient and watchful eye. If animals are not immediately visible, they could be resting in their den or under a shady tree so make time to pop back later. It will be worth the wait!
Eat and drink
Café Graze, the Coffee Shop and our outdoor catering outlets are open. More information here.
Our gift shop is open! We respectfully ask guests to consider wearing a face covering.
Our valued members
We are always extremely grateful for the support we receive from our members, and this is now more vital than ever. Members do not need to pre book their visit. If members are bringing guests who are not members, they will need to book online. Please see our detailed FAQs for the latest changes.
If you have any queries, our team are, as always, delighted to help. We will always treat our guests with courtesy and in return we ask you are patient and respectful of our team and other guests at all times. As a family attraction, we have a policy of zero tolerance against abusive behaviour.
Marwell Zoo is a charity, and we need you now more than ever. After our unprecedented closures and significantly reduced guest numbers as part of our safety measures, we are facing our toughest challenge to date and our road to recovery will be long.
When you book, please choose to make a 10 per cent donation and tick the Gift Aid box as this means we are able to reclaim tax from the Government on the full ticket price– that’s an extra 25 per cent to help us secure the future of wildlife for generations to come at no extra cost to you. Without your support, we cannot claim back any tax at all.
We’re also still accepting donations to our JustGiving fundraiser. Every penny adds up and so does our gratitude, so thank you for your loyal support.
