Recycling Week 31 August - 4 September 2010
Celebrate all things recycled during our Recycling Week. Children can take part in a wide variety of recycling themed activities including ‘less than traditional’ storytelling workshops where they can listen to classic fairy tales with a ‘recycled’ twist, including Cinderella and her glass bottle instead of a glass slipper.
Children can learn how almost everything is recyclable if they are creative enough. This is put to test as they can use a variety of items, including recycled bottles, to make animal shaped puppets on string to take home.
We’d like to invite you to share ideas on how we can all better conserve our environment, so “leaf a message” on our wish tree for all to see.
