By Bus

service M1 - Eastleigh - Marwell Zoo will return from 3 April 2015

NEWS: We've teamed up with First Hampshire to run a direct bus from Eastleigh Train Station to Marwell Zoo on weekends, bank holidays and Hampshire school holiday weekdays between 3 April - 31 August 2015!

Special Offer! We are committed to sustainable travel and if you possibly can leave your car at home and travel to us by bus we offer 10% off at admissions when you show your ticket.

Bus departs from Eastleigh Railway Station for Marwell Zoo at:
10.25am, 11.25am, 12.25pm & 1.25pm

Bus departs from Marwell Zoo for Eastleigh Railway Station at:
2.47pm, 3.47pm, 4.47pm & 5.47pm

N.B. The bus will stop & pick up from Eastleigh Bus Station, and Fair Oak Square along the route.


Monday to Saturday to Fishers Pond:

Brijan Tours Number 8 bus leaves Eastleigh bus station at 14 minutes past the hour and arrives at Fishers Pond at ½ past the hour. (We are 20 minutes walk, the road is unpaved and traffic moves quickly on this road [50mph limit] so please be very careful. We would not recommend walking on this road in the dark)

Return journey: Leaves Fishers Pond at 15.49 & 16.49 and arrives at Eastleigh bus station 16.13 and 17.13.

The above are direct services, others times are available but this would include 1 or more changes on the journey.

No Sunday Service. Carriage fee is payable to Brijan Tours.

By Rail

The nearest train stations are Southampton Airport Parkway (7 miles), Eastleigh (5 miles) and Winchester (8 miles).

By Road

FREE PARKING*Dogs die in hot cars

  • From M3: Junction 11 northbound and junction 11 southbound.
  • From M27: Junction 10 westbound and junction 5* eastbound.

Marwell is situated just off the B2177 (between Colden Common and Bishops Waltham).

Marwell is well signposted please follow the large brown tourist signs.

A few pointers for parking your car

Please note:

  • We do not permit dogs or any other pets or animals to be left in cars or vehicles in our car park.
  • Assistance dogs are the only animals permitted entry to the zoo. Please leave your pets at home.
  • Don’t leave valuables unattended in your car

Guests park their cars at their own risk and Marwell Wildlife accepts no responsibility or liability for any theft or damage.

By taxi

Eastleigh Co-operative Taxis

Eastleigh co-operative taxis are our preferred supplier and offer a 15% discount for passengers travelling to Marwell. They offer 4-8 seater vehicles as well as wheelchair accessible vehicles and can be reached on 02380 642321

Southampton Airport is 7 miles from the park.
