MOTHERS DAY

Treat your mum to flowers this mother’s day at our flower making craft activities. At 2.15 join our keepers for a talk and watch them feed our lovable tapirs. Rio was born on 21st July 2009 and we would like the chance to introduce you to daughter, Rio and mum, Summer, properly. We have three Brazilian tapirs including Rio's dad and Summer's partner Ronnie. The Brazilian tapirs’ natural habitat in South America is increasingly under threat from deforestation and they are currently listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Learn more about the loving relationship between mother and daughter and the tapirs natural habitat with this heartwarming experience!

Spring is in the air.
Join the Wild Egg Hunt and meet the Easter Bunny for a free chocolate egg!
You may even win a monster chocolate ostrich egg worth £60 from Hotel Chocolat. Ostrich talks will be taking place every day and craft activities will be taking place at the picnic area with a theme of Eggs &Young Birds.

Encourage your children to build their own nest in the craft area next to our pygmy hippos where you can play our egg matching game and enjoy our “Eggshibition”. Ostrich feeds and talks will also be taking place with a theme of eggs and young birds.

Take part in our paper plane competition (subject to dry weather) close to the cheetah enclosure. Craft your own plane and see how far it will fly. Adult and children’s prizes to be won.
