Saunter past eucalyptus trees along our bush walk and get close to some of Australia’s most popular mammals including the wallaby, and kookaburra. There are no barriers so it’s the perfect location for photographs.
Bennetts wallaby
The Bennett’s wallaby is the Tasmanian subspecies of the Red-necked wallaby of southern and eastern Australia. As with all kangaroos, their back legs are very muscular and their strong tail is used for balance when leaping, or as a prop when sitting.
The wallabies diet consists of grasses and leaves which are plucked with its large, powerful incisor teeth and mashed up using hard, grinding molars.
parma wallaby
Originally the Parma Wallaby inhabited a large area of bush and tropical rainforest in the Eastern part of New South Wales. They are grazers (over 90% of their diet is grass) feeding from late afternoon until early morning. They are sometimes active during the day, but generally this is the time when they are resting.
