Will you sprint like a cheetah or be slow like a snail?

A stampede with a difference will be taking place this Sunday (27th April) as nearly 1000 people will run past some of the world’s most endangered animals in the Marwell 10km Road Race.

The 10k Road Race will see runners gather in front of the rhinos, complete a lap of the park whilst the zebras look on, and finally take in the surrounding Hampshire country lanes before re-entering the park for the final sprint to Marwell Hall.Run

By taking part in this event participants will not only have lots of fun but will also be raising funds for LEAP 4 LIFE our amphibian conservation campaign - helping us to conserve and protect endangered amphibian species.

Children are also doing their bit for frogs and toads by taking part in the extremely popular Junior Fun Run. As the tigers look on around 300 children will set off towards the bat eared foxes, before heading towards Encounter Village and finally passing the gibbons in their new home before making the dash up the hill to Marwell Hall.

If you are taking part in the 10Km Road Race or the Junior Fun Run please arrive early to allow time to park and for the 15 minute walk to the start of the races. The Junior Fun Run starts at 10.00am by the tigers and the 10km Road Race starts at 10.30am by the rhinos. A map of the park is available from the Information Kiosk at the park entrance.

For all competitors, your race number is your pass into the park. Discounted entry is offered to all supporters up until the start time of the 10km Road Race (10.30am).

Jointly organised with Eastleigh Running Club, the Marwell 10k Road Race is kindly sponsored by Frutina, Saucony and Up and Running Southampton.
