Two hours of daily watering are essential to keep these plants alive. We use natural rainwater collected from the roof and also frequently spray the plants with a fine mist of soft water.
There are animals too. A bright green tree python, leaf-cutter ants, butterflies, marmosets and a bird-eating spider. These reside alongside Australian frilled lizards, a poisonous beaded lizard (one of only two poisonous species in the world), pacu in the pool and piranha in the aquarium. Look out for the dwarf crocodile as well.
