Coronavirus: 20 March 2020
Following the very latest government advice regarding Coronavirus (issued by the Prime Minister on Friday 20 March at 17.00hrs), we have taken the necessary decision to temporarily close Marwell Zoo, with immediate effect.
As such, the zoo will not be open until further notice.
We fully support the government’s latest measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by limiting social contact, and whilst we have 140-acres of open space to enjoy, we also have many areas where close contact is unavoidable. We therefore feel this is the only and correct course of action available to us in order to limit social interaction in line with the clear recommendations laid out by the Prime Minister.
As the sun goes down, our animals come out to play! See our animals in a different light on a sunset safari and feel like a VIP as you have the zoo completely to yourself!
Beautiful surroundings, exotic species, open spaces – what better way to enjoy time out with your work colleagues, family or friends than on an exclusive and private tour of Marwell Zoo after hours?
Our professional guides will meet you at the front of the zoo at 6.30pm and then take you on a walking tour of the park to see some of the world’s rarest and most exotic animals – many of whom behave very differently when the sun goes down.
A sunset safari is a unique experience and is the best way to discover more about your favourite animals. Whether you’re wondering what it takes to look after Marwell Zoo’s big cats or want to see the animals expose their wild side there are many options for you to choose from.
Once the sun has begun to set, grab your friends and family for a unique and unrivalled zoo safari experience. A sunset safari is the perfect evening out. With exclusive after-hours access and expert safari guides, you will tour our 140 acres of picturesque parkland and see our amazing exotic and endangered species.
A variety of zoo safaris are available, with the opportunity to book a single ticket, one for your partner or even as many as you like; This truly is the perfect evening out together or a great family experience.
