Interactive and Engaging 30-Minute Key Stage 3 Workshops at Marwell Zoo

At Marwell Zoo, we offer a range of interactive and engaging 30-minute workshops, each designed to complement and enhance your curriculum in science, psychology, leisure and tourism, and conservation. Our workshops are tailored to provide students with hands-on learning experiences that deepen their understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

Each workshop can accommodate up to 90 pupils per session* (*40 pupils per session for Observational Drawing), making them ideal for large groups and school outings.

30-Minute Workshops

  • Adaptation and Evolution: Explore how animals adapt to their environments and the evolutionary processes that shape their survival.
  • Classification: Learn about the scientific methods used to classify and categorise the vast diversity of life on Earth.
  • Conservation: Understand the importance of conservation efforts and how they help protect endangered species and habitats.
  • Habitats and Ecosystems: Discover the complexity of different ecosystems and the interactions between the organisms that inhabit them.
  • Observational Drawing: Using your own art materials find out first hand about colour, texture and pattern by getting up close to our collection of animal skins and bones (HM Customs and Excise confiscates).
