Key Stage 4
Interactive and Engaging Key Stage 4 Workshops at Marwell Zoo
We offer a range of interactive and engaging 30 to 45-minute workshops designed to complement science, geography, psychology, leisure and tourism, art, conservation and animal care specifications and qualifications. Our workshops are not only educational but also fun, making them a perfect addition to your visit to Marwell Zoo.
Each workshop can accommodate up to 90 students per session* (*40 students per session for Observational Drawing), making them ideal for large groups. If you are bringing more than 270 students, please contact us to discuss options.
30-Minute Workshops
- Animal Care: Using real case studies, students learn about animal husbandry practices and enclosure design and the importance of continual research and development for animal welfare.

45-Minute Workshop
- Animal Behaviour: An introduction to the value of animal behaviour studies followed by a guided opportunity to have a go at event and time sampling using animals within the park.

Field Studies
Fulfil your statutory off-site Science and/or Geography field study requirements without the expense of a residential!
Our new fieldwork sessions run over 1 to 2 days incorporating an engaging mix of taught research skills and evaluation sessions with practical data collection and analysis. Depending on your fieldwork focus and duration, data can be collected from one or more environments including mixed and ancient woodland, meadow, and tropical rainforest (subject to availability).
