Exciting opportunities at Marwell Zoo for would-be teachers!

Our experienced education team are delighted to share how they engage with pupils and students of all ages on a day trip to the zoo.

Choose from a 2 to 6-week placement working alongside our team to deliver a range of sessions.

Teacher Training/Enrichment Placements

As well as providing a home to hundreds of animals, Marwell Zoo is also committed to conserving biodiversity and other natural resources. Our conservation educational programmes engage over 40,000 children and young people a year, seeking to connect people with nature.

On our 2 – 6 week placements, you can join us in our 140 acre zoological park to work with visiting school groups in our 15 minute interactive hub sessions for Primary groups or 30 minute workshops for Secondary groups, and learn more about our conservation projects and endangered species breeding programmes.

Our experienced teaching staff are able to provide support and feedback on adapting content across the age ranges and with respect to teaching standards, as required.
