At Marwell Zoo, we offer a range of interactive and engaging 45-minute workshops for KS3 students, each designed to complement and enhance your curriculum in science, geography, psychology, leisure and tourism, art and conservation.

Each workshop can accommodate up to 90 students per session* (*40 students per session for Observational Drawing), making them ideal for large groups. If you are bringing more than 270 students, please contact us to discuss options.

KS3 45 minute workshops

  • Adaptation and Evolution: Explore how animals adapt to their environments and the evolutionary processes that shape their survival.
  • Classification: Learn about the scientific methods used to classify and categorise the vast diversity of life on Earth.
  • Conservation: Understand the importance of conservation efforts and how they help protect endangered species and habitats.
  • Habitats and Ecosystems: Discover the complexity of different ecosystems and the interactions between the organisms that inhabit them.
  • Observational Drawing: Using your own art materials or camera, capture the colour, texture and pattern variation of our current collection of animal skins and bones (HM Revenue & Customs confiscates)
