Awaken your senses at this year’s enchanted nature trail, Glow Marwell. From brand new installations, selfie spots, and a VR Headset Experience, there’s something for every member of the family.

Here’s how to make the most of your visit:

As you arrive

Parking is free, but space is limited, so please be mindful of other visitors. Please display your blue badge if using an accessible car parking space.

Once at admissions, please show your booking reference number to the team members who will give you access into the park. If you’re visiting our zoo from 1pm, you’ll receive a wristband upon arrival. Please always keep it visible during the event and hand it in when you leave the park.

Discover the route

Glow Marwell begins at 4pm and the route closes at 6:30pm. Begin your journey at the dazzling Glow Marwell sign and wander clockwise through the route. Take your time exploring the trail, and keep an eye out for interactive installations and photo opportunities.

Download the Marwell Zoo app for an interactive map or get a printable version here.

Please note, Glow Marwell is card only.

Be weather ready

The event will “glow” on even in the event of wet weather. Please dress warmly and wear waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for walking.

Accessibility

The route is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. The Glow trail features LED lighting and includes fog, music, and laser effects along the route. Those sensitive to light should plan accordingly.

Delicious treats

Whether you’re craving a giant stuffed Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings, pigs in blankets or a turkey, brie, and cranberry roll, we’re sure you’ll find something you love to eat at Glow Marwell.

Or perhaps you have a sweet tooth? Toast marshmallows and make s’mores, light up the route with illuminated candy floss, or enjoy a delicious crumble pot.

Take part in our Glow Marwell Hot Chocolate Trail and indulge in a variety of delicious hot cocoa at catering outlets while exploring the route.

If you have dietary restrictions, you’re more than welcome to bring your own food to enjoy along the trail.

Glow up

New for 2024, become part of the spectacle of Glow Marwell with UV face paint designs which come to life under special lights around the trail. £6 per face, available 2pm – 6pm (queue closes 5.15pm).
