Got a camera full of incredible wildlife shots from your visits to Marwell? Now’s your chance to see your photography in print!
We’re officially launching our 2027 Calendar Competition and inviting you to submit your best images for a chance to be featured in our next calendar.
Whether it’s a striking portrait, a playful moment, or a perfectly timed shot, we want to see Marwell through your lens.
Our 2027 Marwell Calendar will go on sale in our gift shop. Sales of the calendar contribute to the care of our resident animals and our vital conservation work in the UK and around the world!
If you love wildlife photography and would like to share your Marwell Zoo photos for us to use on our social media channels with a credit, simply upload your images to our dedicated Flickr group.

Terms and Conditions of entry
Entries must be submitted by 11.59am on Tuesday 9 June 2026. All entries are accepted at the discretion of Marwell Wildlife.
Images must have been taken at Marwell Zoo since 1 June 2025 and be of current animal residents.
Entrants can submit up to 6 photos to the competition.
Images should be landscape and in print quality (300dpi). Minor manipulation of images using Photoshop or equivalent is permitted. Watermarked, poor quality or portrait images will not be accepted.
All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not contravene the rights of third parties.
To ensure a fair competition, photographers can win once throughout the competition. If a photographer has won more than once across different categories, the image with the next highest number of votes will win for that category. Additionally, no two images of the same animal can win in the same category.
The competition is open to all residents of the UK, except Marwell Wildlife employees. By entering the competition participants agree that their name may be released if they win, and that their photograph may be used for promotional purposes. By entering the competition, each entrant grants to Marwell Wildlife a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce and publish their image(s) in all media, in perpetuity – including, but not limited to, all use in the context of:
If you are under the age of 18 you must have permission to enter from your parent or guardian. You must be 16+ to create a Flickr account, so parents/guardians may submit on behalf of their child. Please note, the winning prize of an animal experience is not suitable for children under 8 years old.
By submitting an entry for the competition, your parent/carer/guardian is deemed to have given such consent and to agree to the use of the entry as described in these terms and conditions.
Entry is free, however please consider that Marwell Wildlife is a charity and donations can be made online. The top images from each category, judged by our in-house experts and Marwell staff members, will be added to the Marwell Wildlife Facebook page and the number of reactions on each image will determine the final 12. Voting will take place in summer 2026.
*No cash alternative to prizes is available and prizes are non-transferable or extendable. Standard Annual Membership terms and conditions apply and is open to existing members. If an existing member wins, they will have the option to gift the membership or extend their own.
**Adult day tickets are valid for 12 months from date of issue. Annual Members cannot upgrade these tickets to Annual Membership or use them for a discount when renewing.
