DONATE NOWPosted on Maureen s18/01/2026Verified Fantastic family day We had a fantastic time the weather was perfect not too cold and it was a dry day. We watched the giraffes being fed my daughter with additional needs was mesmerised by this. We arrived at 10.30 and left the park at 4.45 it’s definitely a full days worth of activities. We bought our tickets online and the cost was reasonable knowing the amount of conservation work that marwell does.Posted on sarah r17/01/2026Verified Super day out Fantastic day out . We had a lovely time. Friendly staff and a super well looked after zoo. Always a great day!Posted on msimmons5017/01/2026Verified A great experience Always a good way to notch up a couple of hours of steps. The animals can surprise you! We saw most of the animals out today. Back next weekPosted on shaz444413/01/2026Verified Christmas lights were great We came to walk the Christmas trail, it was beautifully done, we also had a visit to see all the animals too, very good value for money 👍Posted on Curry fan12/01/2026Verified Great afternoon and helpful staff Great afternoon out and very helpful staff. Looking forward to our next visit already. Worth the annual pass as makes it worth popping in for a couple of hoursPosted on Ian L07/01/2026Verified Winter Visit Visited today January 7th and to be honest we were surprised by the amount of animals out enjoying the winter sunshine, plenty to see and even those that were too lazy to get out of bed were still accessible in there indoor homes. Really enjoyed the experience and so pleased we went. Only downside, and a small one at that, was the cafe was not serving a hearty warming soup on such a cold day but then that’s only me. All in all a good experience and well worth a visit.Posted on Karenah05/01/2026Verified Really enjoyable day out Went to Marwell today on a sunny but extremely cold day! The zoo was not too busy at all which meant we saw lots of animals without it being crowded. The tiger was out by the enclosure perimeter and we got an amazing view there, so majestic. We also saw the red panda, the giraffes, the pygmy hippos and the scimitar horned oryx were further highlights, along with many other species. My son especially loved being up close to the yellow mongoose and the okapi. There is an indoor heated picnic area for bringing a packed lunch which I appreciated as a lot of attractions you have to pay at a cafe if you want to be warm!We went to the caracara feeding at 2.15 (knew this as I downloaded the app) and we asked the keeper lots of questions which he answered really well; he provided lots of insight into a bird I didn’t know anything about and his interest in the animals shone through; he even entertained my son’s poop question with a sincere answer! Despite the cold we stayed for 4 hours, really enjoyed it.
