MRes Wildlife Conservation is a post- graduate research programme, delivered jointly by Marwell Wildlife and the University of Southampton. Our students recently returned from a 10-day field course based at the Marwell Research Camp in Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya. Our Conservation Biologists teach the students vital skills for wildlife monitoring including camera trapping, vegetation surveys, and satellite-based technology for mapping wildlife populations. Lewa provides a fantastic base for the field course, allowing our Biologists to demonstrate the complexity and challenges of modern conservation, surrounded by African wildlife, not least the endangered Grevy’s Zebra.
