Snow day at the zoo

Snow leopard in the snow at Marwell Zoo

Marwell Zoo was transformed into a winter wonderland as the county experienced its first cold snap of the season. The blanket of snow delighted both guests and animals alike this morning, creating a magical atmosphere across the zoo.

The snow leopard, Amur tiger and birds were seen exploring their frost-covered habitats, perfectly at home in the chilly conditions.

Meanwhile other animals enjoyed the winter weather including a siamang gibbon who scooped up and tasted the fluffy snowflakes, while a sitatunga climbed into its feeding bucket, filled with freshly fallen snow.
