DONATE NOW Pawel P2025-06-15Verified Father's Day We had a wonderful time at Marwell Zoo with the family – just like every time we visit! It’s always such a great experience, and we’re definitely planning to come back again in the future 😊If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to add a kind of navigation feature to the map in the app, to help guide visitors around all the animal enclosures without missing any. There’s already quite a lot of walking to do (even without getting lost 😅), so that would be a really helpful addition. That said, it doesn’t take away from how fantastic our visit was – we absolutely loved it! 😍🤩 Helen R2025-06-14Verified Not a zoo but a learning experience 🩷 The animals seemed really happy and healthy, well cared for and had roomy, clean enclosures. It was really interesting to read the facts around the park and really great that you encourage learning and conservation Alice D2025-06-13Verified Great zoo experience Our midweek visit to Marwell was brilliant! Despite the warm weather you could see most of the different animals - this is in part because the exhibits have multiple different viewing points, including being able to see a lot of the indoor animal areas. Also the exhibits are huge for each species with plenty of space and lovely theming. It's clear that Marwell really values animal welfare (in comparison to some other UK zoos of a similar size). It was amazing to see animals that are not at many zoos, such as okapi, banteng, pygmy hippos, serval, snow leopards and a wide range of other hoofstock species. You could also see exhibits and displays dedicated to Marwell's important conservation projects. Food/drink was reasonably priced and there was great variety of products in the large gift shop. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and enthusiastic - a real asset to the organisation. We liked the eco-friendly approach of the zoo, such as the use of solar panels, water stations for refilling water bottles and commitment to not using plastic. The zoo also seemed to be really accessible and we saw wheelchairs/scooters for hire in the gift shop which is fantastic. Lots of different play areas for smaller visitors as well!Overall I would definitely recommend this zoo and look forward to returning in the future. Curiosity088065524142025-06-11Verified A great day out for animal lovers from infant to 100 or more From the welcome collecting tickets, to the mini train ride and all of the attractions this was a fabulous day out. It was helped by super weather. Everywhere we went were lovely staff who all seemed proud and happy to be able to share information and make recommendations. Definitely worth the drive from Brighton. Things to know, if you book online all you need it the reference number - I think an email was sent to me bit o couldn’t find it. No one was letting that stop the fun. Whilst they accept cash there is a preference for transactions by card for admissions and shop items. Presumably this is because of the cost of banking cash. No one makes a fuss on your choice though. Emily H2025-06-11Verified Amazing zoo Amazing zoo! Absolutely lovely place to visit highly recommend!! Would 100% go back again to see all the amazing animals! Sherpa590929525552025-06-09Verified Well worth a visit, great value Enclosures were clean and well maintained. We saw animals in 95% of enclosures. amazing amount of different species. There were lots of different ways to view different animals i.e walk though habitats, balcony, standard window enclosures, immersive tents (birds, tortoises etc) which meant the children stayed interested. Everything was fairly close together. multiple picnic stops and free water refills which was refreshing to see. Lots of informative posters and talks. Animals all looked well. Toilets were clean. lots of different play parks throughout all well maintained. gift shop was well priced too. The train was great too, nice to learn things about the animals. Heather2025-06-09Verified Lovely day trip! Lots of chances to get close to the animals. Great play areas for kids and plenty of picnic areas and place to get food. Great visit! Jasmin A2025-06-07Verified Beautiful zoo for all the family Very natural and organic zoo. Lots of opportunities to get close to the animals if they wished you too. Giraffes are a must and Rhinos were a win with all. Very friendly staff, nice healthy food options and plenty of activities.
