Stay up to date with what’s happening in the zoo!
There is always lots happening at the zoo and we want to make sure our guests are able to plan their day around any changes there may be. If you have any questions about the below, please pop us an email.
Lemur Loop is closed until further notice while our lemurs are under ongoing veterinary supervision. Guests can still see the loveable lemur troop, consisting of ring-tailed, crowned and black-and-white ruffed lemurs, through the indoor viewing area in the Evolution Hub as well as through the large windows of the outdoor walkthrough.
Our meerkat enclosure is currently closed while we carry out essential maintenance works. The cheeky meerkat mob can be found in a temporary enclosure on the back lawn of Marwell Hall. We’ll update you when we have more information about the works.
From 1-5 July our road train will not be running due to pathway improvement works outside Leopard Lookout. Guests will still have full access to the park and our rail train will also still be running, so guests are able to take a relaxing journey around the park for a small fee of £2.50, which is a big part of our charity fundraising. For those with accessibility needs, we have free manual wheelchairs available to hire for a refundable deposit of £20.
We’ve welcomed a number of new-borns around the zoo so far this year and we’re saying a big hello to some wild babies too! Guests may have seen the two geese that occupy the pond at the front of the zoo, they have recently welcomed chicks to their family and the adults are very protective of them. In the interest of both guest and goose safety, we ask that you please leave them plenty of space when you’re visiting!
