As a conservation charity our role is to give a helping hand to many species with populations that have become so small that they would otherwise face an uncertain future.
You can see some of the world’s rarest species of all shapes and sizes at our zoo. From Partula snails and scimitar-horned oryx to Somali wild ass and Amur leopards, all are part of international efforts to prevent extinction.
We rely heavily on legacies to support our work. Leaving a gift in your will to Marwell Wildlife is one of the best ways in which you can help us secure a better future for endangered wildlife and habitats for generations to come.
Making a will is one of the most important things you can do to ensure that your loved ones and the good causes you are passionate about will be provided for in the future. It seems scary but making a will doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive and a solicitor will gently guide you through the process.
And if you already have a will, it is quite simple to change it in line with your current wishes. Once you’ve made provision for your family and friends in your will, why not think about Marwell Wildlife? You’ll be leaving a lasting memory.
If you have decided to include a gift in your will for Marwell Wildlife, thank you so much for your generosity.
Letting us know about it will give us a rough idea about longer term projects we can commit to now. Any information you give us will be completely confidential.
We know it’s a big decision to include Marwell Wildlife or indeed any charity in your will, but please talk to us and we’ll be happy to go through things in more detail and answer any questions you have.
The essential information to include in any legal document is our full name, address and registered charity number to ensure that there are no uncertainties as regards your wishes:
Registered charity number: 275433
We’ve captured all the important details in our legacy leaflet but please do not hesitate to contact us on 01962 777977 or by email if you have any questions.

Trust..."After making sure my immediate family and close friends are taken care of in my will, I have requested that a percentage is allocated for Marwell Wildlife. I chose Marwell because I have visited the park from a young age and have watched it develop over the years and most importantly, I trust that the money I leave will go to the conservation causes with the greatest need and be ethically and honestly managed."Alison Kyle, Supporter
Conservation"Both our parents enjoyed many happy times visiting Marwell and we have enjoyed being there too. We feel passionate about animals and their conservation and so have left a legacy to Marwell to help them continue their work."Freya and Wayne Bowditch, Supporters
