Thanks to Marwell supporters, the once Extinct in the Wild scimitar-horned oryx now has its very own World Animal Day.
Join us for a range of special extra activities, and discover how Marwell helped bring this special creature back from the brink of extinction.

Meet the Keepers, 11.30am & 3pm
Head to the Wild Explorer boardwalk to meet some of the keepers who care for this special species. Get your questions ready for them!
Face painting, 11am – 3pm
Have your face painted as a scimitar-horned oryx (or another one of your favourite animals!)
Suitable for ages 4+. Additional charge applies.
Discover lost species made from toy bricks!
Marvel at the giant mammoth, pose with a giant dinosaur egg, approach a growling dire wolf, and more…
With more than 20 sculptures crafted from over 2 million toy bricks, pick up your Extinction trail map on entry to make sure you find them all.
Help build a sabre-toothed tiger
Roll up your sleeves and join our public build in Brick Basecamp to help us create a sabre-toothed tiger.
