Getting to Marwell
Marwell is situated just off the B2177 between Colden Common and Bishops Waltham. Just follow the large brown tourist signs. If you’re planning a motorway route, then head off the M3 at J11 or the M27 at J10 (westbound) or J5 (eastbound).
There’s plenty of FREE parking, however, make sure you take all your valuables with you since we don’t accept any responsibility or liability for theft or damage.
Clearly we love animals so request that you leave all dogs and other pets at home and don’t leave them to suffer in your car.
Coaches are welcome to park for free in our large car park located just outside the main entrance.
Here are the current options for bus travel:
Stagecoach 69 from Winchester to Marwell Zoo on Sundays
Available on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays only, the 69 bus route run by Stagecoach departs from Winchester Bus Station stand E and travels via St Cross Bell Inn, Twyford crossroads and Colden Common Spring Lane to Marwell Zoo entrance and then to Bishops Waltham Square.
Please check the operators website for up to date fare and route information.
Stagecoach 69 & Xelabus X9
- Monday to Saturday to Fishers Pond but not for the faint hearted!*
- The Stagecoach 69 service runs between Winchester and Fareham. A request stop is available at Fishers Pond.
- The Xelabus X9 service runs between Curdridge Church near Botley and Eastleigh Bus Station. A request stop is available at Fishers Pond. Please check the operators website for up to date fares and timetables.
- * WARNING We’re quite a trek from the bus stop – 20 minutes at a push. The road is unpaved with a 50 mile an hour limit and busy with traffic so we wouldn’t recommend this route.
Please check with the bus operators before you leave since they’ll have the most up to date information on the services they provide.
