Getting to Marwell


Coaches are welcome to park for free in our large car park located just outside the main entrance.

By Road

Marwell is situated just off the B2177 between Colden Common and Bishops Waltham. Just follow the large brown tourist signs. If you’re planning a motorway route, then head off the M3 at J11 or the M27 at J10 (westbound) or J5 (eastbound).

There’s plenty of FREE parking, however, make sure you take all your valuables with you since we don’t accept any responsibility or liability for theft or damage.

Clearly we love animals so request that you leave all dogs and other pets at home and don’t leave them to suffer in your car.

By Bus

Travel by bus and we’d be delighted to reward you with a 10% discount on park entry when you show your ticket at admissions.

Here are the current options for bus travel:

Service M: Runs direct to Marwell from April to August on school holidays, weekends and bank holidays & offers an exclusive saving on zoo admission: 10% off!

  • Bus departs from Eastleigh Railway Station for Marwell Zoo at:
    10.25am, 11.25am, 12.25pm & 1.25pm
  • Bus departs from Marwell Zoo for Eastleigh Railway Station at:
    2.45pm, 3.45pm, 4.45pm & 5.45pm


  • Monday to Saturday to Fishers Pond but not for the faint hearted!
  • Bus departs from Eastleigh bus station at 14 minutes past the hour and arrives at Fishers Pond at ½ past the hour. (We’re quite a trek from the bus stop - 20 minutes at a push. The road is unpaved and busy with traffic so we wouldn’t recommend this route in the dark)
  • Bus departs from Fishers Pond at 3.49pm & 4.49pm and arrives at Eastleigh bus station at 4.13pm and 5.13pm.

Please check with the bus operators before you leave since they’ll have the most up to date information on the services they provide.

By Train

The nearest train stations are Southampton Airport Parkway (7 miles), Eastleigh (5 miles) and Winchester (8 miles). Local rail information can be found at
