We’re delighted to announce an extension to our popular Glow Marwell winter lights event after Storm Darragh forced the event to close for three days.

We’re very sorry to everyone who was affected by the recent storm. To give everyone affected the chance to experience Glow, we’ve added two additional dates on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 January 2025 which are available to buy online now.

As one of the cancelled nights was a Quiet Glow night, the zoo has also designated Monday 16 December as a new Quiet Glow night.

Laura Read, CEO of Marwell Wildlife, said: “After a full-scale battering by Storm Darragh over the weekend, which meant a three day-closure and significant loss of revenue for our charity, it was so heartwarming and humbling to see just how many of our team turned out yesterday, wrapped up against the cold, to help with the clean up effort.

“From picking up debris to resetting signage and light installations, our amazing team banded together and got the park back to looking its best ready to reopen to our guests today.

“We’re delighted we can extend the event for an extra weekend in January. All other weekends are totally sold out and so we hope this gives people who missed out this weekend the opportunity to rebook and enjoy the magic of Glow Marwell, which plays such a vital role in supporting our conservation wokr and the care of the animals you love. Thank you as always for your support, we’ve been overwhelmed by all the messages from our guests and members.

The zoo reopens today and will resume normal Glow Marwell opening hours from 1pm until 8pm for Glow Marwell ticket holders and 1pm until 4pm for annual members.
