Calling all junior detectives! Step into the world of Netflix’s The Creature Cases with a new interactive trail this February half term (Saturday 15 February–Monday 24 February). Families can work together to crack clues, uncover hidden secrets, and solve The Case of the Missing Pebble in this engaging and educational adventure.
Detectives Sam Snow and Kit Casey are on the case—but they can’t do it alone! One of the penguins’ precious pebbles has mysteriously vanished, leaving the colony in a flap. Junior detectives can pick up an activity pack* and follow a trail around the zo to solve clues, and uncover the location of the missing pebble.
After cracking the case, guests can celebrate their success by collecting a sticker from our Gift Shop before adding a pebble to a penguin mural at Penguin Cove!
Guests will also be able to meet Marwell’s mascots, Lenny the lemur and Sammy the snow leopard appearing daily between 11am and 2pm and tuck into gooey marshmallows and tasty s’mores on the firepits.
Don’t miss our latest arrivals! Our first ever coppery titi monkey has been born at Marwell. Coppery titi monkeys are monogamous, meaning they mate for life, with males taking on primary caregiving responsibilities shortly after birth. Born to first-time parents Taco and Mr Titi, keepers say the one-week-old is thriving and Mr Titi is carrying the baby on his back between feed times.
When coppery titi monkeys rest or sleep, they show their love by wrapping their long tails together in a special move called “tail twining.”
It is easier than ever for visitors to enjoy a wild day out at Marwell with the return of the Bluestar Z00 bus service for February half term (15-23 February) and an exclusive offer for passengers.
Anyone travelling on the Bluestar Z00 or Stagecoach 69 can get more than £6 off zoo tickets – that’s the cost of the return fare, making the journey effectively free! The special bus rate zoo ticket is lower than Marwell’s online price starting at £20 for adults, £16 for children and £10 for seniors and students. The offer is not valid for pre-booked tickets, tickets will need to be purchased at the admissions gate on the day of your visit.
The Z00 bus runs hourly from Eastleigh bus station, stopping at Eastleigh train station and Fair Oak. The Stagecoach 69 runs from Winchester bus station to Marwell on Sundays.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, we offer unique gift options that support our conservation efforts. Choose from animal adoptions, or exclusive zoo experiences like behind-the-scenes encounters with incredible animals. For a gift that keeps giving, treat someone special to a Marwell membership, offering unlimited visits and a year of unforgettable memories.
