Our mystery prize has been revealed… and it is HUGE!

We’re on the lookout for 12 stunning photographs that show the beauty and character of our wonderful Marwell animals.
Whether you fancy yourself as the next Suzi Eszterhas, Nick Brandt or Frans Lanting or you just like to dabble on family days out we want to see your snaps!
From portraits to action shots of the tiniest partula snail through to the tallest giraffe if you’ve managed to get the perfect angle we want to hear from you.
This year, the competition has been split into categories:
- Birds (2 winners)
- Big cats (2 winners)
- Large mammals (3 winners
- Small mammals (2 winners)
- Invertebrates (1 winner)
- Reptiles and fish (2 winners)
The overall winner will have the privilege of their picture featuring on the calendar’s front cover and they’ll win some amazing prizes as well.
Top prize includes a photography experience day worth £350 plus an annual membership so you can come back and use your new skills as many times as you like!
This exciting new experience will grant you a day of exclusive tuition with an expert photographer, behind the scenes access at the zoo, breakfast, lunch, drinks, and a souvenir bag full of goodies.
Our 2024 calendar will feature 12 photographs in total so the 11 runners up will each get to see their photograph in the calendar too. They’ll also each win 2 adult day tickets to the zoo and a copy of the calendar as a keepsake.
