Travel & Directions

We’re on the fringe of the South Downs National Park and very well connected!

It might be a stretch to say that all roads lead to Marwell but the park is within easy reach of two motorways and rail stations and only 8 miles from Winchester. If you’re looking for things to do in the Bournemouth (40 miles) or Southampton (10 miles) areas it’s the perfect choice. We’re also just a stone’s throw from the New Forest (16 miles) and Portsmouth (19 miles).

By Bus

Travel by bus and we’d be delighted to reward you with a 20% discount on park entry when you show your ticket at admissions.

Stagecoach 69 & Xelabus X9

  • Monday to Saturday to Fishers Pond but not for the faint hearted!*
    • The Stagecoach 69 service runs between Winchester and Fareham. A request stop is available at Fishers Pond.
    • The Xelabus X9 service runs between Curdridge Church near Botley and Eastleigh Bus Station. A request stop is available at Fishers Pond.
  • * WARNING We’re quite a trek from the bus stop - 20 minutes at a push. The road is unpaved with a 50 mile an hour limit and busy with traffic so we wouldn’t recommend this route.

Please check with the bus operators before you leave since they’ll have the most up to date information on the services they provide.
