Scouting the Zoo – Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May 2025
Calling all Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Squirrels, Guides, Rainbows, Brownies, and everyone in between! Join us for Scouting the Zoo: Roar and Explore, a roarsome weekend or a purrfect day of fun, adventure, and learning.
This action-packed weekend celebrates big cats and conservation with exclusive activities designed to inspire and educate. Together, we’ll paws for cats, pounce on conservation, and become fur-midable ambassadors for big cats around the world.
Exclusive Activities*
Your Scouting the Zoo ticket includes:
- Early access to the zoo from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- Meet-and-greets throughout the weekend with our character cats – Sammy the Snow Leopard and Taj the Tiger.
- Big cat inspired interactive photo opportunities.
- Interactive science activities with our Education Team.
- Lectures and storytelling sessions on the evolution of big cats.
- Tracking the Cats Trail – explore the zoo with a themed map highlighting cats and their habitats.
- Cat vs Scouts Challenge – test your skills against big cats:
- Can you match the speed of a cheetah?
- Leap like a snow leopard?
- Jump like a serval?
- Showcase the strength of a tiger?
- Big Cat Face Painting (chargeable activity).

Ticket Information
- £20 per person
- One free adult ticket with every six paid child tickets (ages 3-17).
- Concession rates and memberships do not apply.
Booking Details
Tickets must be booked by Monday 28 April 2025 at midday.
Please note that there are limited tickets available for each date. Once the dates sell out, we are unable to amend any bookings or add additional guests onto pre-existing bookings.
Important Information
- Event tickets are required to participate in Scouting the Zoo activities.
- Tickets for this event are for affiliated Scouting and Guiding groups only.
- Zoo Members may visit on these dates but will not have access to Scouting the Zoo activities or event areas without an event ticket.
