Marwell 10k 2026 - race to protect tigers

The Marwell 10k will be returning on the morning of Sunday 27 September 2026, taking place in and around the zoo from 9am until 11am.

If you’re planning to visit us on that day, please note that it will be busier than normal and some areas of the zoo will be closed until the run has finished:

  • The plaza at the front of the zoo will be busier than usual from 7am – 11am.
  • Entry and exit to the zoo will be via the admission gate by Penguin Cove until around midday.
  • The back half of the zoo and snow leopard road will remain closed until approx. 11am when the run has finished. You’ll still be able to explore the section of the zoo from Penguin Cove, giraffes and Wild Explorers up to Café Graze during this time.
  • If you’d like to cheer on the runners, you’ll be able to see them at the start and finish line in the plaza. From 10am, you’ll can also make your way up to tiger junction, where you’ll also be able to cheer on runners – please be aware that this takes around 15 minutes to walk to.

We can’t wait to see you all for what is set to be an iconic day of road racing and raising money for endangered tigers.
