Calling all carnivore fans! Get ready for a wild weekend at Marwell Zoo on Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 September 2026 as we celebrate some of the incredible carnivores that call Marwell home.

From our magnificent tiger and elusive snow leopards to curious otters and cheeky meerkats, Carnivore Weekend is your chance to discover more about some of the amazing carnivores in our care and learn from the people who know them best.

Whether you’re an animal lover or simply looking for a fun family day out, there’s plenty to discover throughout the weekend.

Meet our carnivore keepers

Want to know more about what it’s like to care for some of the world’s most fascinating carnivores? Join our keepers throughout the day for a series of special talks.

Hear fascinating facts, learn more about the animals’ individual personalities and discover what goes into caring for them every day.

Carnivore talks:

• Serval – 11.15am
• Tiger – 12pm
• Otter – 12.30pm
• Snow leopard – 2.30pm
• Meerkat – 3.30pm

Get wild with face painting and glitter tattoos

Add some extra wild fun to your visit with carnivore-themed face painting and glitter tattoos. Choose from a range of designs inspired by some of nature’s most incredible hunters.

Face painting and glitter tattoos will be available from 10am – 3pm at the Giraffe House.

Prices:

• Full face – £6
• Half face – £4

Suitable for children aged 4+. Card payment only. Designs may differ from images shown and all activities are subject to availability.
