HR Administrator 

We are looking for a contemporary and talented individual who can bring efficiency to our unique HR team and our vibrant organisation. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative way, providing support to the HR team through our Recruitment and Selection processes, new starter process (to completion of probationary period), Learning & Development, Occupational Health, Volunteers and general HR administration.  

With a professional approach and an understanding of the importance of working as a team you must also have the confidence to take ownership and responsibility for individual work.  You will be able to communicate clearly with both internal and external customers and demonstrate your understanding and commitment to our values through your approach to your work and your behaviour towards others.

Food & Beverage Manager

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our successful Catering Team here at Marwell Wildlife. 

In this exciting new role you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Catering Services, helping to ensure the provision of a great food and beverage menu with a focus on exceeding customer expectations as the first requirement. You will use your previous experience of working as a senior chef in a management or supervisory role to focus on the ongoing daily operation and development of food and beverage in all outlets, increasing spend from existing audiences and driving new business with measurable results. You will use your proven skills as a leader, to motivate and encourage the Catering Team to provide an exceptional standard of guest experience. 

You will have a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in food safety and experience of managing food hygiene and environmental health, including readings and record keeping.

A City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 & 706/3 catering certificate or equivalent is also an essential requirement of this role.

Environmental Services Assistant

Are you friendly & enthusiastic? Could you wow our guests with your fabulous service? Can you work school holidays, weekends & bank holidays as well as some week days? 

We have some fabulous opportunities to join the Marwell family on annualised contracts as Environmental Services Assistants in our Guest Services team.

Annualised contracts will involve varied hours including Bank Holidays, weekends, evenings and seasonal periods. Due to the need to drive park vehicles, candidates must also hold a full driving license valid for the UK.

Work Experience

If you are interested in keeper work experience please read the following carefully before contacting us.

Marwell runs an unpaid work experience keeper scheme from the beginning of March to August each year for a period of two weeks only.

Placements are limited to students over the age of 17 years and who are already studying an animal related course.

For Sparsholt College (Winchester) students - applications should be made to your tutor direct at the beginning of November of the year prior to the period of work experience required.

To be considered for a position please complete the application form , attach a copy of your CV and send to our Registrar.

All work experience students must fulfil all of the above criteria and be able to produce a letter from their tutor confirming their appropriate course and be able to attend an interview before being considered for a placement .

All work experience positions within the animal department for 2018 are now filled. Placements for 2019 will be considered in November 2018

Veterinary student applications

We currently have limited availability for veterinary student placements, and can only provide clinical EMS. Priority is given to vet students enrolled with the University of Surrey. However, where possible, the vet team will consider 4th and final year vet students, from other Universities. Earlier years cannot be accommodated at present. Contact us via email for more information.

Internships

We do not offer internships at this time.
