Have you spotted our latest arrival, a purple honeycreeper?

We are delighted to welcome a new species to Marwell! 

A new species for Marwell, this small tropical bird in the tanager family can be found inside our new Tropical House.

Our keepers say the two-year-old male bird, which came from Frankfurt Zoo, is very inquisitive and is settling in very well while we await a female to join him in the hope they will become a breeding pair.
