Hop on board… We’re looking forward to a bus-y Easter!

March 26, 2024

Marwell Wildlife is thrilled to be making the zoo more accessible, more sustainable and more affordable with £11 zoo tickets for guests travelling by bus.

We’re excited to welcome back Bluestar Z00 bus service from Easter weekend, and zoo ticket prices are being cut to just £11 for those travelling on the Z00 and Stagecoach 69 services!

Tickets including a donation will cost £11 and will help care for the animals you love at the zoo and our conservation projects around the world.

The Bluestar Z00 service starts at Eastleigh Bus Station and stops at Eastleigh Rail Station and New Clock Inn in Fair Oak before arriving at the zoo.

On Sundays and bank holiday Mondays the Stagecoach 69 service starts at Winchester Bus Station and travels through St Cross, Twyford crossroads and Colden Common to Marwell Zoo’s entrance then on to Bishops Waltham Square.

If that’s not enough to tempt you out for a wild adventure, this year the route is included in the Government funded National Bus Fare Cap Scheme meaning a single trip to the zoo will cost just £2.

We hope the scheme will mean people who find getting to the zoo tricky will be able to pay us a visit during the warmer months, safe in the knowledge that they’re helping the environment and endangered species.

The bus will run hourly on weekends, school holidays and bank holidays between Friday 29 March 2024 and Sunday 1 September 2024.

After departing from Eastleigh bus station, the bus will stop at Eastleigh Train Station and in Fair Oak before heading to the zoo!

Group bus tickets are also available for up to 5 people for £15 return!

When travelling to the zoo on the Bluestar Z00 or Stagecoach 69 services you’ll get a discounted zoo ticket at admissions.

Simply show your physical bus ticket at the gate and you’ll receive a special reduced rate – £11 with donation or £10 without donation.  These tickets cannot be upgraded to membership.

This means a family trip to and from Marwell Zoo plus admission tickets for 2 adults and 3 children will cost you no more than £75! Perfect for the Easter break.

If you’re planning to visit Marwell during the Easter holidays, download the free ‘Marwell Zoo’ app for animal feed times, a park map and fascinating animal facts.

Plus, take part in the Easter “Det-egg-tive trail” for your chance to win Annual Membership for 2 adults and 3 children so you can come back as many times as you like for a whole year!

For an egg-stra special treat meet the Easter Bunny at Marwell Hall for £5 per child during the bank holiday weekend.

Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled to see what’s in store at the zoo for the rest of the year…
