Update 24 October 2022:
After great efforts and teamwork from our staff, our car park has now been cleared following the destructive high winds yesterday.
We are delighted to be resuming regular operations tomorrow (Tuesday 25 October).
After sudden and extremely high winds earlier this afternoon (Sunday 23 October), we have unfortunately suffered damage to our car park and will have limited parking at the zoo tomorrow.
Please only visit the zoo tomorrow (Monday 24 October) if you have already booked tickets. We ask Annual Members and others who have not booked to postpone your visit.
The entrance to the zoo from Winchester Road will be closed for part of tomorrow morning, but the zoo entrance will still be accessible via Hurst Lane.
We hope to be able to resume normal operations on Tuesday; however, please do keep an eye on our website and social media for the latest updates.
Thankfully, the rest of the zoo is undamaged, and our animals and staff are also unharmed. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you soon!
