We are closed

January 1, 2021

Following the latest Government announcement,  with a heavy heart we must  close again as of midnight 4 January 2021.

We need your support more than ever. While the zoo is closed again, our daily costs remain incredibly high as the responsibility of looking after our animals to the highest standard does not change. Since March, we’ve lost more than £4million in revenue due to the pandemic and we’re facing our toughest challenge in our nearly 50-year history.

Each month it costs us more than £220,000 just to care for our resident animals. That doesn’t include the cost of our important conservation programmes that we lead in the UK, Africa and across the world.

Please consider supporting us during this difficult time so that future generations can experience the joy of coming to our zoo and make a difference to our conservation projects in the UK and worldwide. Every penny adds up and so does our gratitude. Thank you.
