Our two wrinkled hornbills, Cinta and Bulu, have died suddenly.

We have some sad news to report… our two wrinkled hornbills, Cinta and Bulu, have died suddenly, meaning we no longer hold this species. Both birds had suffered with an acute bacterial infection and despite emergency intervention from our veterinary team, they both passed away. This is a devastating loss for our keepers, who worked closely with the pair, and the EEP (European Ex-situ breeding Programme). We will update you with plans for the aviary when we can.
