We’re bringing the zoo to you!

March 15, 2020

Although the zoo is temporarily closed, our animals can keep you company from the comfort of your own home!

We have a number of live webcams on our website, so that you can enjoy the zoo from your sofa.  Our live feeds allow you to watch our giraffes, penguins, black and white ruffed lemurs and flamingos!

It’s breeding time here at the zoo and you may see online that our flamingos have been performing elaborate group courtship displays such as synchronised wing-raising and ‘head-flagging’, which involves raising the neck and beak and turning the head from side to side. They may also start nest building too – flamingos build cone shaped nests that look like mounds of mud.

If our residents are feeling camera shy, it’s worth checking back later!
