Marwell has partnered with Bluestar to ensure guests have an easy and sustainable way of getting to the zoo thanks to a new Z00 bus service.
The route, which will operate from Eastleigh Railway Station to the zoo in Colden Common, will run throughout the Easter break and every weekend and school holiday until the end of the summer.
Dr Duncan East, Head of Sustainability at Marwell, said: “Providing guests with the option to leave the car at home and creating access to the zoo for people without a car is really important to Marwell.
“Travel to the zoo is a significant part of our carbon emissions so anything we can do to help our guests reduce these emissions is good for us and great for the planet.”
Bluestar’s Z00 route will replace the M1 service that has run the same route in previous years.
Richard Tyldsley, Bluestar general manager, said: “Marwell Zoo is a hugely popular attraction here in Hampshire – and our new Z00 service provides a welcome travel option for local families and visitors who either don’t have a car or who would prefer to leave their car at home.
“Our team is standing by to welcome new customers on-board from this Easter and transporting them to what I feel sure will be a wonderful family day out at Marwell Zoo.”
Don’t forget, if you’re heading to Marwell over the Easter break, book online for your free seven-day return visit and download the Marwell Zoo app for our free ‘Appy Egg Trail.
